Understanding the TV part of IPTV and the fact that it’s all about TV

4 key points regarding Zignal scalability: • We have lots of logic running on the actual end-user device, including data caches. • By utilizing powerful OS Java tools like Spring and Hibernate tools we can scale the server to handle hundreds of thousands of users on single, powerful server hardware. • Zignal is engineered to handle most data in local caches on the Server, allowing horizontal scaling. • We are beginning to use the Terracotta clustering solution to distribute higher-level structures.

Industria beating Microsoft in the UK market

Our Zignal IPTV service delivery software has now the largest pure IPTV user base in the UK, beating the use of Microsoft Mediaroom solution. This has become a reality because of our customer Inuk Networks and their Freewire TV service. One of the unique factors of Freewire and how our Zignal solution was deployed, is that the platform runs on Windows and Mac OS X, allowing consumers to experience premium television content on their PCs without the use of a TV Tuner card or external hardware.
